Ethan David is a comedy writer and filmmaker in New York City. He is a headline contributor for ClickHole and has written and created videos featured on Funny or Die, College Humor, Quickie Fest, Internet Action Force and more. His pilot script, The Relief Effort, was a finalist in the 2019 Yes And Laughter Lab, a Comedy Central-sponsored initiative for projects with social justice themes.
For three seasons, Ethan was a writer for BoogieManja, a monthly sketch comedy show at the Peoples Improv Theatre. Other live shows Ethan has written for include UCB Sketch Cram, UCB Backyard Brawl, NYC SketchFest, and The Flying Blind Sketch Show. He is an advanced-study sketch writing and improv student at the Upright Citizens Brigade Theatre.
Ethan also cofounded Jomey Productions with Jorja Hudson. Together they worked on Low Budget Sketch Show, which was featured in The New York Times, The A.V. Club, Observer and was an official selection in the NYC Independent Film Festival and HollyWeb Festival. Their pilot script, Millennial Divorce Club, is a finalist in the 2019 Catalyst Content Festival.
